Dr. Crystal Cené, MD, MPH

Dr. Cené is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UNC-CH in the Division of General Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology. Her research broadly explores the ways that disparities in health and health care can be reduced by addressing social determinants of health. She is passionate about patient and family engagement in health care, and a focus of her research is dedicated to developing pragmatic interventions to support family members caring of adults with chronic illnesses. Dr. Samuel Cykert, MD

Dr. Cykert is a Professor of Medicine at UNC-CH in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology. He also serves as the Director of the UNC School of Medicine Program on Health and Clinical Informatics. He has been heavily involved in projects that address health disparities and chronic care management including practice redesign and quality improvement efforts in primary care across the state of NC. You can learn more about Dr. Cykert here.

 

Dr. Carmen Gutierrez, PhD

Dr. Gutierrez is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at UNC-CH. Her research explores issues at the intersection of health, immigration, and the U.S. criminal justice system. A central theme of her work is aimed at increasing our understanding of the ways that inequalities in health and health care arise along the lines of race, ethnicity, and citizenship.
